Face me! Face me and the rebuilt and improved Zombot War Wagon!
โ€

โ€”Dr. Edgar Zomboss

Prior to the 7.4 update, Wild West - Day 35 was the 35th and final day of Wild West. The player fights the Zombot War Wagon 2.0 in this level. As of the 7.4 update, this level is the last level in Epic Quest: Wild West Wipeout!. Upon completing the level, the player receives 80 gems.

As of the 7.4 update, level expansions were removed from the world maps and placed into epic quests. Because of this, this level is no longer accessible from the map, and must be accessed when the Epic Quest is available.

Difficulty[]

This is the hardest level in the entire game. No basic nor coneheads exist. Chicken Wrangler zombies are the most dangerous zombies in the level, due to the zombie chickens walking at a very fast speed which might make you lose the level if your defense is unguarded.

Dialogue[]

Intro[]

(Dr. Zomboss appears)
Dr. Zomboss: Even as the West was wild, so is my fury even wilder!
Dr. Zomboss: Face me! Face me and the rebuilt and improved Zombot War Wagon!
(Dr. Zomboss disappears)

Outro[]

(Crazy Dave and Penny appear)
Crazy Dave: It was a stagecoach, it was a robot... it was Complete Cowboy CRAAAAY-ziness!
Penny: Our upgraded plants proved up to the task, User Dave.
(Crazy Dave and Penny leave, Dr. Zomboss appears)
Dr. Zomboss: All my efforts... useless! I begin to seriously question my capacity to succeed!
(Dr. Zomboss leaves)

Strategies[]

  • Using Plant Food can force Zomboss to stop charging or deny a missile from destroying it if Zomboss happens to target it.
  • It is recommended to plant Hypno-shrooms as much as possible, since having more plants on screen will decrease the chance of the missiles targeting your Electric Currants.
  • This level can be extremely hard if you do not have boosted or upgraded plants, so boosting and/or upgrading plants like Electric Currant and Iceberg Lettuce is recommended.
  • Hypno-shroom is the only plant that can damage the Zombot War Wagon effectively, as Dr. Zomboss makes a minor reference to the use of this plant in his dialogue. If you hypnotize a Buckethead Cowboy or Cart-Head Zombie it is probably not going to make it back. Since there are a lot of Plant Food in this level, use it on a Hypno-shroom to bring back a hypnotized Gargantuar. Using a boosted Hypno-shroom can also help a lot, as you can then save your plant food for everything else
  • Keep in mind that the Electric Currant's fences isn't guaranteed to kill a Chicken Wrangler Zombie. However, it will kill all Zombie Chickens, which is key since only one of them is enough to denote a game over. This also applies to Spikeweed.
    • For Chicken Wrangler Zombie himself, try using two fences or Wall-Nut
  • An Electric Currant fence with plant food can filter out any Prospector Zombies to make sure that they do not take any Hypno-shrooms from the other zombies
  • Try to use Hypno-shrooms on any Chicken Wrangler Zombies that Dr. Zomboss spawns, as the threat of Zombie Chickens is eliminated. Note that chickens cannot damage the boss, because they will die on contact.
  • The hardest phase is the third phase, during which Wild West Gargantuars are summoned. These zombies are not only immune to Hypno-shroom (even boosted), but they also can kill a hypnotized Gargantuar if there are any helping zombies like Cart-Head Zombies besides it. For this phase, hypnotizing a lot of zombies and destroying the Zombot quickly is your best shot.
  • Using Spikeweed's Plant Food can help trap the Zombot and prevent it moving. This works well if you have any hypnotized Gargantuars on the same lane as it as they can continuously smash the helpless Zombot.
    • This can be used in order to completely cheese the fight. Just 5 Plant Foods and a single gargantuar, with good timing, can skip an entire phase. This can be used to cheese the third and hardest phase of the boss, which is usually impossible without this method.
    • Having multiple gargantuars on the Zombot can let you use less plant food or even skip multiple phases, easily beating this level without needing to worry about the Zombot spawning any Chicken Wranglers or Gargantuars. This does require a lot of good RNG, but it can be done with enough dedication.
  • One more important thing to remember is to never let Zomboss charge all the way on the lanes that have both part of your defense, including Electric Current, and a Chicken Wrangler Zombie. Otherwise, one of the chickens might survive the attack, easily resulting in a loss.
  • Use Power Snow to slow Zombot down and damage it to the point where your hypnotized Gargantuars are smashing it.

Strategy 1[]

Created by dapingguo8
  • Plant Electric Currants on 1st column, and 6th column rows 1 and 5.
  • Plant Wall-nuts on 1st column, rows 2-4.
  • Plant Hypno-shroom on the 7th column.
  • You can plant any other plants in the free spaces.
  • Keep planting plants when there are free spaces.
  • When you have more than 6 plant foods (four in reserve, two zombies carrying it on screen), feed two Plant Foods to Hypno-shrooms and plant two Spikeweeds on that line.
  • Let the hypnotized Gargantuar attack the Zombot, stun the Zombot and pull the zombies to other place with Spikeweed's Plant Food๏ผˆwait 4 seconds and give the other Spikeweed Plant Food).
  • If you fail, don't worry (unless you are at phase 3), the Zombie Chickens cannot pass the 1st column.
  • Keep doing steps 6-8. Don't let the Zombot release any zombies in phase 3.
  • If the Zombot is preparing to rush, feed one Plant Food to any plant.
  • It may take a few tries to complete the level.

Strategy 2[]

Created by PlantaticProdigy

Here is the kind of layout you need for this strategy:

Key:

EC = Electric Currant2

WN = Wall-nut2

SW = Spikeweed2

IBL = Iceberg Lettuce2

HS = Hypno-shroom2

  • C1 C2 C3 C4 C5 C6 C7 C8 C9
  • R1 EC EC WN SW HS HS
  • R2 WN WN SW IBL HS HS
  • R3 WN WN SW IBL HS HS
  • R4 WN WN SW IBL HS HS
  • R5 EC EC WN SW HS HS

Detailed:

  • Plant the Electric Currants Electric Currant2 on the 1st column and 2nd column rows 1 and 5.
  • Plant Wall-nuts Wall-nut2 on the 1st column rows 2-4. If given more than 3, plant the 2 Wall-nuts provided on the 3rd columns rows 1 and 5. Also, if possible, feed Plant Food Plant Food2 to all 5 Wall-nuts just in case the Zomboss decides to target and kill your Wall-nuts.
  • Plant the Iceberg Lettuces Iceberg Lettuce2 on the 3rd column rows 2-4 (used for freezing emergencies) or on the minecarts.
  • Hypno-shrooms Hypno-shroom2 should be planted on the 6th and 7th columns, as well as other columns since the amount of Hypno-Shrooms given are infinite.
  • All Spikeweeds Spikeweed2 should be placed right behind all the Wall-nuts, to ensure that the zombie chickens are taken care of or any zombie that manages to reach your Wall-nuts.
  • The goal is to try and hypnotize as many zombies as possible into Gargantuars (via Plant Food) because they do heavy damage to the Zombot. Also, in the 2nd Phase, try to hypnotize as many zombie chickens since a pack of them can also do heavy damage to Dr. Zomboss.
  • If the Zomboss is preparing a charge, feed Plant Food to one of your Hypno-Shrooms or Iceberg Lettuces in the respective lane Zomboss is preparing a charge for or let your armored Wall-nuts take the hit (assuming you followed Step 2 and you have no more Plant Food left). It is not recommended you feed Plant Food to a Spikeweed while Zomboss is preparing a charge since it does not stun the Zomboss and he will continue charging afterwards.
  • Be sure to repeat all the steps listed above to ensure victory. If you're having trouble, you can resort to using Power-Ups if needed. Power Zap can be used in emergencies against zombie chickens, Powder Snow can be used to destroy Gargantuars or/and to damage the Zomboss quickly, and Power Toss can be used in an emergency if there are too many Gargantuars/zombies on-screen getting closer to your house.
  • Like Strategy 1, it may take a few tries to complete this level due to a random number generator of both plants and zombies as well as the Zomboss (charges, missiles, etc.).

Strategy 3[]

Created by Alsee

This is a particularly difficult level, even if you do everything right. The most reliable way to beat this level is to grind through Zen Garden and obtain a boosted Hypno-shroom. (This assumes that you have an abundant supply of Zen Garden seeds available.) The shovel in Zen garden can be used to immediately dig-up and replace any unhelpful plants. While searching for Hypno-shroom, you should keep any Wall-nuts, Spikeweeds, Electric Currants, or Iceberg Lettuce that you find, however they are far less important.

Once you have obtained boosted Hypno-shroom in the Zen garden, you can focus your attention and plant food on defense and winning pretty much comes down to surviving until the inevitable boss kill. The big threat is a boss charge sending a chiken swarm down an empty lane. Armored Wall-nuts halt boss charges. Use plant food to armor up some Wall-nuts early - you do not want to have to react to a boss charge in progress. The first armored Wall-nuts should be placed in column 3 of rows 1 and 5. This leaves room for Electric Currants to the left. The first two Spikeweeds should be placed in column 4 of rows 1 and 5, protecting the first two Wall-nuts from zombies and chikens. Replace these Spikeweeds quickly if they are destroyed by a boss charge.

Once you have rows 1 and 5 secured, put an armored Wall-nut in row 3 column 3 (in the minecart) to block any boss charges down the middle rows. Additional Wall-nuts and Spikeweeds should go in the leftmost columns of the middle rows. The abundant plant food can be used on Iceberg Lettuce to freeze everything, or it can be used on a Spikeweed in a far-right column to pull back any Gargantuar that threatens you. Review the other strategies for relevant offensive or defensive tips, but focus on defense.

Trivia[]

  • Contrary to how he's usually used, Hypno-shroom is the only primary attacking plant in this level.
  • Rodeo Legend Zombie is not spawned by Zombot War Wagon. Instead, it surprisingly comes from the zombie side (Phase 2), despite not being encountered during the zombie preview.
  • If any airborne zombies were alive when the Zombot is defeated, they will not die and continue walking, similar to Frostbite Caves - Day 30.
    • If that zombie eats a boosted Hypno-Shroom, it will attack the wrecked Zombot if possible.
  • This is one of the four boss levels to have plants not obtained in the level's world, the other three being Modern Day - Day 32, 33 and 34 (not counting Jurassic Marsh fight as it contained Modern Day plants)
  • In this level, the Zombot War Wagon is one of the zombots to have a speed buff, along with Zombot Dinotronic Mechasaur.
