Yeah, I have no idea why I don't wait until finishing the previous world idea before going on to another, either.

World Features

Based on: As the name suggests, Zomburbia starts 3 days after Crazy Dave ate the taco, allowing the zombies to take over Suburbia. As such, it takes the appearence of a ruined version of the present-day front lawn, with statues and posters of Dr. Zomboss all around the background. On the zombies' side of the screen, the Z-Tech factory from Garden Warfare 2's first Graveyard Ops gameplay trailer can be seen in place of the trailer normally placed in front of the player's house.

World-specific mechanic #1: Being based on Garden Warfare, the world-specific mechanic of Zomburbia is Gardens and Graveyards. Gardens and Graveyards come in three sizes: 1x1, 2x2, and 3x3, . Graveyards cannot be planted on and cannot be destroyed by Grave Buster due to their size, and like graves in PvZ 1 they will summon zombies in the final wave. Engineer Zombies will build Zombot Turrets in graveyards. A graveyard cannot be captured if it has any Zombot Turrets in it.

To capture a graveyard, the player must plant any plant that is not an instant-use or free-cost plant near it. As with Garden Warfare, the more plants near a graveyard, the faster it will turn into a garden. Plants planted in a garden space attack/produce sun faster than normal and have 25% more health. If a zombie steps in a space occupied by a garden, they will stay in the garden, but they will attempt to capture it to convert it back into a graveyard. Again, the more zombies in a garden, the faster it will be captured. Zombies will first attack any plants planted on a garden before trying to capture it, though.

World-specific mechanic #2: Okay, this one's a bit more simple: Teleporters. Like in Garden Warfare, they have 2 parts: the generator and the teleporter itself. To turn on the teleporter, an Engineer Zombie must simply approach the generator, and they will start it up. Destroying or EMPeaching the generator will disable the teleporter, and another generator will spawn a few minutes later in the level. Like tents in Lost City, the teleporter simply serves as a spawn point for the basic 3 zombies, nothing fancy. The teleporter is usually placed very close to the house, so keep it and the generator well protected.

Surprise attack: The surprise attack for Zomburbia is "ZOMBOSS SLOTS!". When a Zomboss Slots occur, Dr. Zombosss' slot machine (like in Garden Ops) will appear and spin, causing a hoard of up to 3 of any zombie types (save for the Zombot, but the Treasure Yeti can appear in it on rare occasions, even in levels where it isn't found) encountered in this world to suddenly rise from the ground in the right half of the lawn. If all three symbols the slot machine lands on are the same zombie type, an EVEN BIGGER HOARD spawns. The player can sometimes earn coins (like in GW), sun, and even gems from the Zomboss Slots. If the Zomboss Slots land on a tombstone, it will turn a random garden on the lawn into a graveyard, so watch out!
