So it has been leaked and teased supposedly that mushrooms will make a return to PvZ later on. One thingg that intrigued me of what some of the guys here found was the stats on the Puff-shroom for PvZ2.
Compared to the original PvZ, the puff-shroom in PvZ2 now only lasts temporarily bfore being unusable or disappearing by itself completely. I would assume it still costs nothing to plant them but lets do a bit of speculating here:
1. Seed Refresh cooldown time nerf: Would the puff-shroom be given a longer cooldown time compared to the original PvZ2? I'm speculating this because a similar fate happened to the Gravebuster though the cost of planting it has been reduced to 0 sun.
2. What does the term 'lasts for a short while' mean? Does this mean that the puff-shroom disappears after a set amount of time? Do they have a limited amount of ammo and linger on the play field after they have exausted all their shots?
3. What could it's plant upgrade be? Could it's upgrade allow for the puff-shroom to last indefinetly (highly unlikely)? Would it be like a weaker version of the peashooter and just fire a barrage of spores within a small area? Would it cause it to release fumes ala fume-shroom and damage all zombies within a fixed area (would like to see that)? Would it cause the shroom to go on a suicidal last stand in which it would roll a giant spore at all enemies in a lane and die right after?
