Sun Catcher is an achievement in Plants vs. Zombies 2. It requires the player to catch five sun drops from a single Ra Zombie. It is worth 5 points on the Game Center for iOS devices and 500 XP on Google Play Games for Android devices.
Strategies
To achieve this, you need to avoid killing a Ra Zombie when it is collecting sun. Try to produce sun fast, as sun can only be collected when it moves two times. Otherwise, sun cannot be collected after it moves again. Dig up any plant that attack and keep it away from splash damage by removing any splash damage plants on any column directly above and below. Try not to have more than one Ra Zombie get on the screen. Otherwise, it will be harder to receive this achievement. It is best to leave one Ra Zombie to collect all the sun and then try to collect the sun after that. You may also just use Plant Food on a Twin Sunflower and then wait for the Ra Zombie to catch them.
Note: Ra Zombies cannot carry more than 250 sun at once. As such, if a Ra Zombie stops trying to collect sun while it is still alive, then it is certain that you will get the achievement once it is defeated.
Trivia
- Before the 1.7 update, this achievement requires the player to make the Ra Zombie catch ten sun instead of five, because one sun is equivalent to 25 and multiplying by 10 will result into 250.
- Sun is an uncountable noun, but in the achievement, it says "5 suns," which many players refer to when they say something about having more than one sun drop, possibly due to broken English.
