|Ordinance is the most effective with peanut butter and raisins.|
It is based on celery, a marshland plant variety in the family Apiaceae, commonly cultivated as a vegetable, and a cannon, a piece of artillery that uses gunpowder or other usually explosive-based propellants to launch a projectile, which may or may not be explosive.
Its name is a portmanteau of "shell", referring to the projectiles it spits, and "celery", the real-life plant this is based on.

Shellery is an early-game glass cannon with Team-Up. You should only prioritize this if the zombie played on the first turn has 2 health, or if you want to land 2 damage to the hero on the first turn. Keep in mind that the zombie hero could be waiting to use a trick to destroy it.
On special stages where you are given a plant (or plants) from the start, you may want to protect it with Shellery.
This plant has only 1 health, so any damaging zombie or trick can easily destroy it. A better strategy is to use a zombie with Strikethrough such as Hot Dog Imp, due to him negating the Team-Up trait, as he hits both Shellery and the plant behind it. However, this can only used if the zombie hero has enough brains.
