Rally Zombie and his world-themed variants in Plants vs. Zombies 2 are stronger versions of Flag Zombie and his world-themed variants. Much like Flag Zombie, he marks the arrival of a huge wave of zombies; however, he moves faster, eats faster, and has more health than his normal counterpart.

Almanac entry

Rally Zombie

TOUGHNESS: Protected
SPEED: Speedy

Rally Zombie and his flag marks the arrival of a large clot or "pile" of zombies.

Rally Zombie splurged on the all-leather flag because, heck, he's worth it.

Egypt Rally Zombie

TOUGHNESS: Protected
SPEED: Speedy

He celebrates with increased vigor and truculence the arrival of a new wave of bandaged baddies.

Sometimes, a regular Flag Mummy Zombie simply isn't enough to inspire the desired amount of terror and disgust. In these instances, upgrading to the Egypt Rally Zombie isn't the sensible choice, it's the only choice.

Jolly Roger Zombie

TOUGHNESS: Protected
SPEED: Speedy

Jolly Roger Zombie marks the arrival of lots and lots of zombies.

Jolly Roger Zombie and his flag are fused into a single brain-munching unit. Their teamwork is an inspiration to ghouls everywhere.

Cowboy Rally Zombie

TOUGHNESS: Dense
SPEED: Speedy

Cowboy Rally Zombie marks the arrival of a sizable stampede of zombies.

Arrows point to the brain on Cowboy Rally's Flag, as if to say, "Hey, everyone, I would like to emphasize this image." It's canny design.

Robo-Rally Zombie

TOUGHNESS: Protected
SPEED: Speedy

Robo-Rally Zombie and his flag marks the arrival of an above-average number of zombies.

If you look carefully, you'll notice that Robo-Rally Zombie's flag is a sophisticated piece of hovertech combined with a stick.

Jurassic Rally Zombie

TOUGHNESS: Dense
SPEED: Speedy

Jurassic Rally Zombie marks the arrival of large group of zombies.

Where did Jurassic Rally Zombie get his fancy new flag? Nobody knows. It's a mystery. The police should look into it. Or maybe we could get a fund together and hire a detective. It's a real puzzle.

Strategies

You can handle this zombie the same way as you would with Flag Zombies, but they move faster, eat faster, and have more health. Save for the potential allies they may have, you shouldn't have much trouble with these zombies.

Trivia

General

  • The increased speed he has is maybe a reference to the speed the Flag Zombie had in Plants vs. Zombies.
  • Before the 5.9.1 update, Rally Zombie and his variants appeared on the seed selection screen, unlike Flag Zombie.

Specific to Jolly Roger Zombie

  • He is the only Rally Zombie variant that doesn't have the word "rally" in his name. It was replaced by the term "Jolly Roger," which is a name for pirate flags.
    • The word "Jolly" in Jolly Roger Zombie could also be a pun on "Rally."

Specific to Cowboy Rally Zombie

  • He has higher health than other Rally Zombie variants.
  • Cowboy Rally Zombie's almanac entry makes fun of the flag's design.

Specific to Robo-Rally Zombie

  • The flag is the "hovertech" mentioned in the Almanac entry. This may allude to it being similar to a magic carpet.

Specific to Jurassic Rally Zombie

  • Like Cowboy Rally Zombie, he has higher health than other Rally Zombie variants.
  • His Almanac entry references how his flag looks like Rally Zombie's, only changing the handles (bones instead of wood), and how it's a lot more unique considering the prehistoric designs other Jurassic Marsh zombies have.
