For whole readers: Repeater is way better than the overrated Melon-pult for many reasons. First, the "economical" issues: Repeater only costs 200 sun, contrary to the 300 of the Melon-pult. Second, the damage: Repeater deals 4 damage per 2.8 seconds, which is the same as the Melon-pult; but considering the Repeater's ability to pair with Torchwood for extra damage which only costs 375, Melon-pult can only be upgraded to Winter Melon, but for a whopping 500 and it doesn't even deal more damage nor a bigger splash radius. Third, the availability: Repeater and Torchwood, both are already presented before you get to the Fog levels and both are free of charge; Melon-pult, on the other hand, is only gained at the end of the game, and the Winter Melon costs money to buy from the shop. This leads to one conclusion: Repeater is better than Melon-pult.
For lazy readers: REPEATERS ARE BETTER!!! THEY'RE CHEAPER!!!! REPEATER > MELON-PULT
Notes: And no, Miledude, I did not forget the Melon-pult's abilities, but it doesn't help much.
Melon-pults are awesome! Anyone who picks Repeater are forgetting that Melon-pults hit Snorkel Zombies, Shield Zombies and bypass the roof's slope, and that it has a far larger splash range than Repeater+Torchwood, which also costs more than Melon-pults and uses two spaces, plus it defrosts frozen Zombies. I will admit that Repeater+Torchwood does more damage, but Melon-pults are superior.
I'd under stand if a person liked an gatling pea better then melon-pult, but not repeater. anyways, this has splash damage, hurts zombies, more and milesprowers reason's above(i do like this more then gatling pea, i'm just giving a point)
Can Repeaters hit snorkel zombies? Can Repeater ignore Roof angle? Can Repeater ignore shields? Does repeater have splash damage? Is repeater's upgrade commonly used in SE?
All Peashooters suck!Repeaters cant work good in the roof.Repeater and it's upgrade suck hardly at S:E.Repeater cant hit snorkel zombies or shields.Melon-pult and it's upgrade Can do all of that!Hura!Melon-pults are better than rubbish-eater
