IMO, I don't like Glooms much. They are expensive, slow recharge, and awfully short-ranged. Magnets have long range and have a fast recharge! They as well are muti directional and weaken stuff like football zombies. Stay Naughty! 20:29, January 24, 2013 (UTC)
Against diggers,Glooms are WAY better. But glooms are more useful in regular levels. The 2nd best plant in general.WinterMagnet (talk) 15:31, January 24, 2014 (UTC)

Magnet-shrooms waste your space, 15 seconds are too long and Diggers' speed are fast. Also they waste your places. Gloom-shrooms are better, high attack rate and don't need to recharge. Can kill unlimited Digger Zombies together.
It's way better than the bottom tier Magnet-shroom, first because it actually attacks and kills the zombies, second because the Magnet-shroom only takes 1 object per 15 seconds, which is really crappy and third because my enemy list still have Mile.
If timed correctly, a Magnet-shroom can pull a Digger Zombie out of the ground and if vunerable, allow the zombie to eat your plants. Plus in S:E, one at a time is not enough. I VOTE GLOOM-SHROOM! The Brainulator has spoken. -BRAINULATOR9 22:05, January 24, 2013 (UTC)
With the Magnet-shroom, you have to have another way of attacking them. With these, they go down quickly, dealing minimal damage to the back of the lawn. Spikerocks work fine, too.
