Hot Dog Imp
|Tribe||Gourmet Imp Zombie|
|He was THIS close to wearing the chicken costume, but darn it, Team Mascot Imp called it first.|
Hot Dog Imp is a basic common zombie card appearing in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes, and a member of the Sneaky class. He costs 2 to play, and has 2/2. He has the Strikethrough trait. His plant counterpart is Fume-Shroom.
- Class: Sneaky
- Tribe: Gourmet Imp Zombie
- Trait: Strikethrough
- Set - Rarity: Basic - Common
He was THIS close to wearing the chicken costume, but darn it, Team Mascot Imp called it first.
- Added to the game.
This zombie is one of the few zombies that has the Strikethrough trait. Use this ability to hurt the plant hero and/or destroy any frail plants behind tough plants via Team-Up. This in conjunction with either Toxic Waste Imp or Super Stench can wreck havoc in a lane with tough plants. This would work very well with Lurch for Lunch in the mix, though only Super Brainz can use this. Using Brain Freeze or Impfinity, you can boost Hot Dog Imp to be able to do massive damage to the plant hero and plants that even have team-up.
Interestingly, if both heroes has 1 health and Hot Dog Imp is placed on heights, without the plant hero using tricks and abilities to stop him, you can win the game as zombies attack first and even a plant in that lane attacks second after zombies fight. Hot Dog Imp could automatically help you win the game if the plant hero is really low on health. Be warned that the plant hero may block their attacks.
Berry Blast, Weed Whack, and Sunburn can kill him easily, while Iceberg Lettuce or Big Chill can prevent him from attacking. If he gets out of control (either when boosted or given the Deadly trait), Lawnmower, Squash, Sizzle etc. can destroy him. Be sure to keep some tricks or special abilities in your hand if you are low in health and Hot Dog Imps are ready to be placed.
- He was added in the 1.2.11 update, and was meant to replace the Imp in older versions as Imp originally was 2/2.
- His appearance is based on Imp's Summer Nights costume from Plants vs. Zombies 2.
- His description references Team Mascot.
- The structure of his description is similar to Newspaper Zombie's Almanac entry.
- He is the only fighter added in the 1.2.11 update that does not have 1/1.
- He is the only gourmet card in the Sneaky class.
