The hard hat is a headwear used by Digger Zombies.
Overview
The hard hat absorbs 5 normal damage shots and its appearance changes upon absorbing 2 and 4 normal damage shots.
Strategies

Being the weakest armor, you have no problem of destroying it. One Split Pea, Starfruit, Cattail or any other plant that can shoot backwards is enough to destroy it. You can also use instant-kills, stop it with defensive plants, or remove the pickaxe with a Magnet-shroom.

Trivia

- It is the weakest headwear and armor in the game, taking only five normal damage shots.
- The light on the helmet does not go off after it is hit once, though the light itself is made out of glass.
- Due to the fact that the hard hat is plastic, it makes the same sound that a cone makes when hit.
- The sound is useful for alerting a player if a digger has bypassed their defenses without the player's notice.
- Its light does not work in Level 4-10.
- This may be because the level itself is supposed to be dark.
