The Graveyard Variety Pack is the first free content update of Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2. It was released on March 8th, 2016. It fixed several bugs and glitches in the game, contained character balances, added new things to the Backyard Battleground and added one new map named Aqua Center.

  • Added new co-op/team vanquish map "Aqua Center" which may seem familiar, yet completely different!
  • Added night version of the Great White North map to the Turf Takeover Playlist
  • Added Hide n' Find missions to Backyard Battleground
  • Added Bot & Pot Missions to Backyard Battleground
  • Added unique character variant images to group HUD
  • World Options now shows all friends playing the game, not just the joinable ones
  • Added classic setting in options to change primary fire button (PS4 Only)
  • Added Aim Sensitivity slider to now allow more precise control over aim speed (for PC this is broken up into both mouse and gamepad sensitivity)
  • Added ability to select between hold button to aim or toggle button to Aim
  • Added kick player option to the in-game scoreboard for easy access (player hosted modes only)
  • Added difficulty to Pause Menu for some game modes
  • Game Now defaults to common chat in Private Matches
  • Added ability to view scoreboard while vanquished

Critical Fixes

  • Reduced length of round timer between rounds in Multiplayer matches
  • Imp now properly earns XP when in Mech
  • Players can now see other players’ Backyard customizations when visiting their Backyard
  • Players can now see stats on other players stats boards when visiting their Backyard
  • Improved audio for garlic drone primary weapon
  • Setting HUD to "Light" now also hides XP Meter
  • Major improvements to hit reaction "flinching" animations
  • A plethora of quality & bug fixes

Tuning/Balance Notes

Regeneration Rate Upgrades

  • Increased regeneration rate upgrades for all characters from 1.1x to 1.25x

Hit Reaction Tuning

  • Decreased hit reaction intensity for most playable characters
  • Tuned hit reactions for many AI characters
  • Increased hit reaction for Scientist when receiving damage from the sides
  • Added a hit reaction for the All-Star when he is aiming down sights

Rose:

  • â–Œ Decreased Rose health from 125 to 100
  • â–Œ Increased the cooldown for Goatify from 30s to 35s
  • Removed the damage threshold as a Goat so now players will remain as Goat for a fixed duration
  • â–Œ Reduced time as Goat from 10s to 7s
  • â–Œ Decreased Time Snare duration from 5s to 2.5s
  • â–Œ Increased Arcane Enigma Cooldown time from 30s to 35s
  • â–Œ Decreased movement speed while in Arcane Enigma by 15%
  • â–Œ Added a movement speed penalty/input restriction to Fire Rose and Frost Rose while charging (functions the same as Future Cactus while charging)
  • â–Œ Decreased Magic Thistles damage from 10.5 to 9.5
  • â–Œ Decreased maximum turn angle for projectiles from 45 degrees to 40 degrees
  • â–Œ Decreased rate of fire by 10%

Homing Changes:

  • â–Œ Decreased the time it takes to lose a lock when the reticle is off of a target from 0.5s to 0.1s
  • â–Œ Decreased the lock on angle from the target to the reticle by 66%
  • â–Œ Decreased the lock on maximum distance from 75m to 40m
  • â–Œ Increased the time to activate projectile homing from 0.15s to 0.25s
  • â–Œ Decreased projectile movement speed by 10%

Druid Rose:

  • â–Œ Decreased projectile movement speed by 10%
  • â–Œ Decreased maximum turn angle for projectiles from 45 degrees to 40 degrees
  • â–Œ Decreased magazine capacity from 35 to 30
  • â–Œ Decreased rate of fire by 10%

Fire Rose:

  • â–Œ Added a movement speed penalty/input restriction to Fire Rose while charging (functions the same as Future Cactus while charging)

Projectile 1:

  • â–Œ Decreased maximum turn angle from 45 degrees to 40 degrees

Projectile 2 (mid charge)

  • â–Œ Decreased maximum turn angle from 45 degrees to 40 degrees

Projectile 3 (max charge)

Frost Rose:

  • â–Œ Decreased the freeze accumulation rate for Frost Rose’s projectiles – players can no longer be frozen with a single shot
  • â–Œ Added a movement speed penalty/input restriction to Frost Rose while charging (functions the same as Future Cactus while charging)

Projectile 1:

  • â–Œ Decreased maximum turn angle from 45 degrees to 40 degrees

Projectile 2 (mid charge)

  • â–Œ Decreased damage from 30 to 20

Projectile 3 (max charge)

  • â–Œ Decreased damage from 50 to 35

Party Rose:

  • â–Œ Decreased the magazine capacity from 20 to 18
  • â–Œ Decreased Party Thistles damage from 10.5 to 7.5
  • â–Œ Decreased rate of fire by 10%
  • â–Œ Decreased maximum turn angle for projectiles from 45 degrees to 40 degrees
  • Changed projectiles' appearance

Citron: Party Citron:

  • â–Œ Reduced the Party Laser's close range damage from 5 to 3.5 and long range damage from 3.5 to 2.5
  • â–Œ Reduced the Party Laser's splash damage from 5 to 4
  • Changed the beam's appearance

Corn:

  • â–Č Increased Corn Health from 125 to 150
  • â–Č Increased default primary long range damage from 4.5 to 5.5
  • â–Č Decreased default primary damage fall off start distance from 15m to 10m

Party Corn:

  • â–Œ Decreased the Party Busters' close range damage from 6.5 to 5.5 and long range damage from 4.5 to 3.5
  • â–Œ Decreased Magazine Capacity from 35 to 30
  • Changed the projectiles' appearance

Chomper:

  • â–Č Decreased the digestion time after a chomp escape (e.g: trying to swallow a Jackhammer) from 5s to 3s
  • â–Œ Tuned regeneration delay from 5s to 6s, regeneration rate to half health from 5 hp/s to 4 hp/s, and regeneration rate to full health from 2 hp/s to 1.75 hp/s (these changes bring the Chomper’s health regen to parity with all other playable characters)
  • â–Œ Increased Unicorn Chomper’s Rainbow Warp cooldown time from 20s to 25s
  • â–Œ Increased Goop cooldown from 5s to 7s
  • â–Œ Increased Super Sticky Goop cooldown from 10s to 13s

Chomp Thing

  • â–Č Fixed a bug where Chomp Thing’s health regeneration didn’t match his weapon description. He now regenerates health slightly sooner and faster than default

Cactus:

  • â–Œ Decreased Zen Cactus' Mystic Orbs damage per projectile by 15
  • â–Œ Increased Zen Cactus reload time from 1.9s to 2.1s

Imp:

  • â–Č Increased Imp health to 75
  • â–Č Decreased the movement speed penalty while using Impkata by 25%
  • â–Œ Fixed a bug where the Imp couldn’t receive damage while he is making his Z-Mech phone call, he is now only invulnerable when the beam of light appears
  • â–Č Increased Imp Blasters' long range damage from 3 to 4

Party Imp:

  • â–Œ Decreased Party Blasters' close range damage from 5 to 4
  • â–Œ Decreased magazine capacity from 45 to 40
  • â–Œ Decreased Party Robo Laser's close range impact damage from 11 to 10
  • Changed both the Party Mech and Imp's projectile's appearance

Super Brainz:

  • â–Č Decreased cooldown time for Super Ultra Ball/Super Multi Ball from 20s to 16s
  • â–Č Increased Super Multi Ball projectile speed by 33%
  • â–Č Increased movement speed while in Turbo Twister by 20%
  • â–Č Decreased Turbo Twister cooldown time from 24s to 20s
  • â–Œ Decreased armor while in Turbo Twister by 15%
  • â–Č Removed decay from Toxic Brainz's Toxic Overload meter

Party Brainz:

  • â–Œ Decreased Party Fists' overall combo damage by 20
  • â–Œ Decreased Party Beam close range damage from 4.5 to 3.5 and long range damage from 3.5 to 2.5
  • â–Œ Decreased Party Beam damage falloff start distance from 30m to 25m and damage falloff end distance from 45m to 40m
  • Added confetti to the beam

Captain Deadbeard:

  • â–Č Decreased movement speed penalty while in barrel by 15%
  • â–Č Increased sniper damage from 20 to 22.5
  • â–Œ Decreased shotgun damage from 40 to 35

Captain Sharkbite:

  • â–Œ Decreased Snappy Shark damage from 22 to 16

Captain Partyman:

  • â–Œ Decreased Party Scattershot damage from 40 to 30
  • â–Œ Decreased Party Spyglass damage from 20 to 18
  • â–Œ Decreased magazine capacity from 12 to 10

Trivia

  • This content update's name is based around the Garden Variety DLC from from the first Garden Warfare.
    • Coincidentally, they are both the first DLC for both of the games.
