Ghost Pepper was a plant in Plants vs. Zombies: Journey to the West. It was based on the Ghost Pepper from Plants vs. Zombies 2, and was bought using diamonds. Similar to its counterpart in Plants vs. Zombies 2, it haunted zombies, dealing continuous damage to them. However, unlike its counterpart, its range was in a 3x3 radius and it did not explode after a certain amount of time.
Ghost Pepper's name is identical to the Bhut jolokia, commonly referred to as ghost pepper, most known as one of the spiciest chili peppers in the world. Its name also refers to its spectral appearance, and its ability to harm zombies by haunting them.
- After the 3.10 update, its sound effect was changed to be identical with its Plants vs. Zombies 2 version.
