Ice Zombie Cometh

Ice Zombie Cometh is the third mission on the plant side in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes. The main opposing zombie hero for this mission is Brain Freeze. This mission also features Neptuna and Electric Boogaloo as the other opposing zombie heroes.

Plot (Spoilers)

Brain Freeze arrives at a water park where lots of plants can be seen having fun. He then freezes it along with all the unfortunate plants in it including Solar Flare so he can have the park for himself. But Solar Flare melts the ice and captures Brain Freeze so he sinks in the water, regaining control of the park again.

Decks

Encounter Battle

Nibble is the only trick here, which will be used to ensure your plants doesn't do enough damage to take down his zombies. However, if you make use of soft removal cards like Sour Grapes, Cherry Bomb, and Berry Blast, Brain Freeze will have a hard time. Just be careful of Loudmouth as he may attempt to boost the zombie that can land a hit on you.

Teammate Battle (I)

Make sure there is no way for Neptuna to draw cards via her imp cards when Imp Commander is on the field by doing direct damage on either Imp Commander or Hot Dog Imp or by blocking all the lanes with Imps on them. Although she might use Backyard Bounce on your plants to allow the Imps to have a free strike on you.

Mini-Boss Battle

Brain Freeze has brought Zookeepers and Kangaroo Rider along, which will be used to boost all his pets, especially if you cannot take down Kangaroo Rider in one hit. Other than the addition of those cards, there is no change to the deck used so the same strategy that was used in the Encounter Battle will also apply here.

Teammate Battle (II)

They hit hard yes. However, they all have very low health. Try using a kabloom hero to defeat this deck as they have access to cards that do direct damage to all zombies like Sour Grapes and Berry Blast. In fact, Sour Grapes is the perfect card to use here since none of the zombies have more than 1 health. Just get rid of all Unlife of the Party before Electric Boogaloo plays enough zombies for Unlife of the Party to become unstoppable.

Boss Battle

Brain Freeze still has vitrually no tricks other than Vitamin Z and Nibble. So you can use direct damage to remove key zombies like Vimpire and Zookeepers before they make your plants be unable to stop them at all. Just remember that the starting Dog Walker will prevent key plants like Pea pod and Sunflowers from being played safely.

Trivia

• In the first comic strip, a Peashooter and a Potato Mine are seen in the water. This doesn't make sense, as these plants aren't amphibious and would need the aid of Lily Pad to even be on water.
