Captain Combustible knows how to light a fire under his Teammates.
Use this superpower on an empty lane or a tough zombie, as well they will deal a lot of damage to that zombie, and destroy them easily.
The best plants to use this on are plants that do reliable bonus attacks, like Repeater or Bananasaurus Rex. Since your opponent will likely try to focus on destroying the plant you use this on, consider protecting it by placing a plant with the Team-Up trait like Torchwood or Sweet Potato in front of them. You can also keep it protected if your opponent has zero brains to spend or when your enemy has very few cards to be played.
Another great strategy is to use this card on Re-Peat Moss, because it will attack instantly after this card was used due to its ability, and since it only costs 1, you can use other tricks to boost it even further and make it do even more bonus attacks.
Make sure that there is a zombie in front of the boosted plant to prevent it from dealing heavy damage to the zombie hero. However, if not, use tricks like Teleport or Beam Me Up, or tricks that move zombies, such as Smoke Bomb to protect the hero from heavy damage.
Since this will make a plant gain +4, you can easily use any card that destroys a plant that has 4 or more like Rocket Science to easily destroy it, or bounce it to get rid of the boost. You can also use Locust Swarm if it gets out of hand, when you have no other choices, or if you are using Beastly heroes.
- It is the only tree trick in the game.
- It can be considered as the plant counterpart of Brute Strength, as both give a selected unit a large amount of strength. However, Blazing Bark gives one extra strength compared to Brute Strength.
